The Fruit of the Spirit: Love

In the last article on the Holy Spirit, we read that He does a deep work in the lives of believers. Whereas for many, the presence of the Spirit is about forms and mannerisms, we said that it is supposed to be more than that. The Holy Spirit “brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an
orchard.” In the next series of articles, we will meditate on the outworking of the deep work of the Spirit in our lives, what the book of Galatians describes as the fruit of the Spirit. The first on that list is LOVE.

The Necessity of your Growth

The primal purpose of all the work of the grace of God in your life, is to make you “to be conformed to the likeness of his Son.” The reason why he “gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;” is “to prepare God’s people for works of service” so that we “may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.

Discovering God’s Provision For Your Life and Ministry Part II

In the first part of this article it was pointed out using the life of Moses that God has made every provision for us to effectively fulfill our assignment. Though sometimes we may feel inadequate and ill- prepared for the task, yet God has put in our hands everything we needed to succeed. We need only to discover the provisions at our disposal. The second part of this articles highlights what we need to do in other to release the miracle working power of God, and warns us also of the perils of misusing God’s provision.
