PRAYER
“your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven”
– Math 6:10
Although prayer is generally understood to be a communication process that allows us to talk to God, Christ in the above scripture, while teaching on prayer gave us a profound insight into what Prayer is about…Prayer is bringing God’s will in heaven to bear on the earth. Prayer is enforcing God’s will on the earth. Enforcing because there are forces who will not want the will of God to be done on earth. Prayer is warfare!
Prayer is much more than communicating with God, even the devil communicates with God as seen in Job 1 verses 6 and 7 quoted below:
One day the angels came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came with them. The Lord said to Satan, “Where have you come from?”
Satan answered the Lord, “From roaming throughout the earth, going back and forth on it.”
Prayer is partnering with God to make His kingdom a reality here on earth. It is the act of working with God to bring His will to bear in every situation and circumstance of our lives and on the earth as seen in Ezekiel 22:30 which says,
And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.
God sought for a partner but found none. Are you ready to partner with God?
Prayer is also an opportunity to serve as a divine gatekeeper here on earth. In Mathew 18 verse 18 Christ said;
Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
From the above scripture, its clear that YOU have the power to determine what is allowed to happen here on earth and what will be disallowed. In the place of Prayer, you become a divine gatekeeper here on earth. You become qualified to have a say in what happens on the earth just like Abraham was able to intercede for Sodom in Genesis 18 verses 22 and 33.
This is why prayer is such a big deal to the devil. If there is one thing that the devil will do anything to prevent you from engaging in, it is Prayer. Do not allow the devil to succeed.
It’s time to Arise in the place of Prayer…

There is a prince of this world. Therefore, to say “thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven” is a declaration of war. No king folds their arms to watch their kingdom overrun by an enemy. They fight back. To pray that prayer is to declare war. Indeed, prayer is warfare.
