4 Reasons Why You Should be a Soul Winner

As an Agent of Change, you are called to be a soul winner, to obey the commandment of Jesus to preach the gospel to every nation. You are to preach the gospel always, to everyone and in everyplace. Jesus gave you the presence and power of the Holy Spirit to be His witness and win souls for Him. Acts 1:8. Jesus wants you to be devoted to this task until He returns or calls you home.

Below are four major reasons why you should be committed to witnessing and soul winning;

Soul Winners are Wise

“The fruit of the [uncompromisingly] righteous is a tree of life, and he who is wise captures human lives [for God, as a fisher of men – he gathers and receives them for eternity]. Proverbs 11:30 AMPC.

When you become a Christian, God gives you the Spirit of love, Wisdom and a Sound Mind. You become a wise man and woman and God wants you to put that wisdom to use for soul winning. The Bible says he who is wise capture human lives for God, you have the wisdom of the Holy Spirit so glorify God and make Him happy by winning souls for Him. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you wisdom for evangelism and soul winning.

You Will Bring Joy to the Heavens

“Even so, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.” Luke 5:10 ASV

When you preach and a sinner repents, there is great joy in heaven. The heart of the Father who desires that no one should perish but have eternal life is gladdened. What can be more rewarding than making God and the angels happy? Labour hard to make heaven glad.

You become a Super Hero

“let him know, that he who converteth a sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall cover a multitude of sins.” James 5:20 ASV

We love super heroes, Superman, Batman, Captain America, Wonder Woman etc. We love them because of what they do – saving lives. That’s what heroes do. You also have an opportunity to save lives from death daily. You become a super hero for Jesus when you reach out to convert sinners. You save them from death and eternal condemnation. Is there anything nobler than this?

You will Shine forever as Stars

“And they that are wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.” Daniel 12:3 ASV

Oh what glorious thoughts! To live forever as a shining star. This is the promise for soul winners. Dear Agent of Change, labour to turn many to righteousness. I urge you not rest in your soul winning efforts. Don’t be satisfied with winning only a single soul. Pray, fast, and use every means at your disposal to win multitude of souls to the Lord, you will shine forever and glorious will be your reward in Heaven.
