“This good news of the kingdom [the gospel] will be preached throughout the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end [of the age] will come”
– Mathew 24:14

What a weighty statement we find in the above scripture, and worthy of note is the fact that this statement was made by none other than Christ Himself.
What is this good news of the Kingdom?
This is the full gist of God’s eternal plan for man and how it has unfolded throughout history. This good news has been ‘in the news’ since the garden of Eden when a sly serpent misled the first couple Adam and Eve to Sin against God, leading to the fall of man.
It also captures God’s daring rescue mission through an unlikely hero who was born in a manger in Bethlehem of all places, but was still able to defeat satan hands down and save the world. In fact, let’s take a look at how Colossians 2:15 reported that scene “He stripped all the spiritual tyrants in the universe of their sham authority at the Cross and marched them naked through the streets”
And the good news does not stop there, it also captures the everlasting Kingdom that God has established here on earth, where we will ultimately rule and reign with Christ as priests and Kings, hallelujah!
When anyone agrees to submit their life under the lordship and authority of Jesus Christ, they automatically become citizens of this everlasting Kingdom, this is the Kingdom that was highlighted in the portion of the good news recorded by Daniel in Daniel 2:44 where it was announced that “In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever”
It will be preached throughout the whole world
Once God says a thing it is established, so the question of whether the good news of the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world or not is a no-brainer. The real question we should be asking ourselves is, who will be part of fulfilling this mandate? and by what means?
In trying to answer the above questions, it will be wise to start by first beaming the searchlight on yourself and rephrasing the question to read, Will I play a part in the fulfillment of this great mandate? If your answer to this first question is yes, then you will need to ask yourself a second question, what are the means currently at my disposal through which I can play a part towards the fulfilment of this great mandate?
It is worthy of note at this point that there is an urgency about this task, and a command is attached to it, we see this command boldly printed in Mathew 28: 18-20 which says “Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
We are in the dying minutes of the final hour, in this first phase of the human story, a new chapter is about to be opened which will last for eternity. This is a clarion call for every man, woman or child from every nation, tribe or creed to urgently respond to this great command. Engage your community and your world like you’ve never done before, use every means at your disposal to bring every lost soul across the line into this ark of safety, salvation through Jesus Christ.
And as you do this, please remember that the king’s business requires haste.
…And then the end will come
The current world order is time bound and the clock is ticking, we are fast approaching that glorious hour when Christ will return for His people. All the signs of the end of the age as recorded in Mathew 24:4-13 and seen below are already here with us.
Jesus told them, “Don’t let anyone mislead you, for many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah.’ They will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and threats of wars, but don’t panic. Yes, these things must take place, but the end won’t follow immediately. Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world. But all this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come. “Then you will be arrested, persecuted, and killed. You will be hated all over the world because you are my followers. And many will turn away from me and betray and hate each other. And many false prophets will appear and will deceive many people. Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved”
However, the final straw that will usher in the end, is this critical step, that “This good news of the kingdom [the gospel] will be preached throughout the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end [of the age] will come”
Are you ready?
See you at the finishing Line!
And O my Lord prepare, my soul for that blest day.
