Let a man so consider us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful – 1Corinthians 4:1-2
Don’t be afraid of what you’re about to suffer. The devil will throw some of you into prison and put you to the test. You will be persecuted for ‘ten days’. Remain faithful even when facing death, and I will give you the crown of life – Revelation 2:10

At the 2022 World Agents of Change Conference, God drew our hearts to the need to be faithful stewards. As a follow-up to that charge, we’re further admonished to remain faithful till the end. Our faithfulness is best tested and confirmed when the going gets tough. The Scriptures make it clear that our faith will be tried and tested, but we are encouraged to “remain faithful even when facing death”. To this end, we must live each day in anticipation of the test of our faith, and the readiness not to give in to the tempter’s lures. The good news is that sufferings, trials, and even death are all for a time. The Lord puts the time figuratively as ‘ten days’ (Rev 2:10); therefore, we need the tenacity and enduring grace to hold the fort in our trying times till the end.
To this end, we must live each day in anticipation of the test of our faith, and the readiness not to give in to the tempter’s lures.
God’s emphasis to us in this season is not just being faithful stewards, but being consistently faithful (even in the face of death) till the end. It is only those who remain faithful and true till the end that will be rewarded with the crown of life. On such, the second death has no power. Choosing to be faithful stewards will for sure provoke a reaction from the devil and his agents, but the Lord charges us not to be afraid of whatever we might suffer as a result of our staying faithful to him. As we live each day, let’s live with the end in sight for God has promised, “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5b). In the midst of the threatening persecutions and trials, let’s be rest assured that we are not alone; the LORD Himself is with us in the fight. For us as Agents of Change, compromise is not an option; withdrawal in the midst of the fight is not an alternative, all we hear is the shout of VICTORY! May we receive grace to stay faithful till the end in Jesus’ Name.
